A Short (Pointless) Elevator Ride.

I would never claim to be the most fit guys around, I don't exercise, I don't eat "right" , I don't work out, but I am also not lazy. I will walk places instead of drive, I will take the stairs instead of the elevator, now this is all mostly because I'm impatient. I don't want to have to wait for automated devices to slowly take me somewhere, when I can get there much faster myself.

So today I had to go downtown for business, and I decided to take the elevator from the 1st floor up to the 19th floor where I needed to be. So I get on the elevator by myself and hit '19' expecting a strait shot up. But of course the elevator stops short on the very next floor '2', a lady gets on and we give our awkward pleasantries and she punches in her destination floor '3'.

Now she waited (guesstimate) somewhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes standing in front of the elevator waiting for it to pick her up, and then another minute or so to get on the elevator with me and get to her to destination. To go up one flight on stairs...

Come on people take the stairs.
