Halo 3. Launch Day.

I'm off to go wait in line for Halo 3. If anybody's getting it tonight, meet me for some Co-Op 12:10am.

Bungie's Big Anouncement.

Four player online co-op is (finally) confirmed by Bungie. Bungie states that only up to two people per box, but you can be joined by two others elsewhere around the globe. In a new twist, not everybody plays as the Master Chief though; the host get to be the Chief, second player plays as the Arbiter, and third and fourth player play as just generic Elites. I guess the Marines get no love from Bungie...

Get Ready For Rock Band.

Since there is now four components (mic, drums, guitar, and bass) the screen has to be divided up. The words are up top for the singer to read from with some handy visual keys to tell you what key to sing in and how long to hold a note.

The standard guitar is on the left, Guitar Hero style, with the bassist all the way on the right.

The drummer gets placed right in the middle of the people rocking out the guitars, just as he/she would on a real stage. In case your wondering, the orange line in the drums section is for the foot pedal.

Harmonix has yet to say if when you're playing online with friends if you will only see your particular music note section or if you'll still see all four. All I gotta say is, I can't wait for some four player co-op Rock Band (and maybe in that other game too...)

Halo 3 To Have 4 Player Co-Op (Semi) Confirmed.

Check out this tasty treat that The 7th Columnist found in the beta code:

The game cannot start because all players are set to observer. Too many players for splitscreen. Only 2 players may play splitscreen coop on the same Xbox 360 console. The party size is too large to start the game. Up to 4 players may play coop on Xbox Live or System Link. Loading information from Xbox Live…

This is all just speculation at this point, Bungie has included tons of text and even items into there games that didn't make it in to there games, like a flamethrower in Halo 1 that was "unlockable" through some modding.
