Firefox Reaches 500 Millions Downloads.

Well a true congratulations is in order for the Mozilla team for all their amazing work that they have put into Firefox over the past 3 or 4 years.

You should all be using Firefox by now, I talked about it on podcast's, wrote about it, here, and here, and even installed it secretly on most of your machines...

On top of having over 500 millions downloads now, Firefox is slowing knocking Internet Explorer off it's thrown and gained 17% market share in the browser wars. When just four years ago, Microsoft's Internet Explorer held a death-griping 91% of browser activity on the web.

But now that more people are realizing that they even have a choice in browsers, they are switching over to Firefox. Kind of like how everyone is switching over to Mac's. Interesting...

Tech Tuesday...

Tech Tuesday is no more as some of you have guessed or I've told you so. While I look at ways to change my site to a proper URL and not one belonging to Google (Blogger/Blogspot), you see I have adidat.net but I'm in this limbo period waiting for this lame 60 transfer time to be up. I've also been throwing the idea of doing my own podcast, it'd be tech, it'd be gaming, it'd be geeky for sure. I've already got a few folks lined up to be in the show, it will always be a round-table show (a la TWiT) so don't worry you won't have to listen to (just) me drone on and on about crap that I care about (Xbox 360, ahem...) and bash things I don't (/cough PS3 /cough). The podcast will be done over Skype due to some folks living across the pond if you will, but I would love to invite more people on to the show from time to time and get a broader perspective on the industry, so if you want to help give me a shout. Now the podcast won't start until after I get the blog transfered over to adidat.net so it's gonna be a few months so to tide you over till then I've tweaking the Tech Tuesday banner on the left side of the site to make it higher up on the site and just cooler. Anyone got a name idea for the podcast, leave it in the comments.

Hope you enjoy it. (Again...)

Tech Tuesday Episode #4

Episode four was this past Tuesday December 12th my birthday, but that didn't stop me from bring all the info you need to buy your next HDTV. Three different types of TV's were talked about, LCD's, Plasma, and DLP's. LCD's work the best in all light conditions, and don't have the "Burn-in" effect, Plasma's have the best black levels, the best contrast ratio, and the super slim profile, DLP's are the cheapest, and stack up with the Plasma's in picture quality. What's the best TV? To find who got the Tech Tuesday seal of approval you gotta listen.

Tech Tuesday Episode #3.

Sorry I missed lasted Tuesday, we had a great interview that went a little long, but I'm back with Windows Vista. Scot and I walk you through, features, security, and the version breakdown. Windows has a great site for all your Vista questions that I didn't answer. I'm having problems with the usual play button, so for now you'll just have to download and listen to it.

Tech Tuesday Episode #1.5

This is not a full show by any means but, I did call in to talk to the boys about my dinner date with the three lovely ladies from AGI: Jessica, Jennifer, and Kat. Scot was a "little" upset at first, but calmed down once he knew the whole story. Enjoy.

Download the show here.

An Evening With The Ladies From All Games Interactive.

For those of you that don't know (shame on you!) I host a tech segment on the All Games Interactive podcast, every Tuesday called well...Tech Tuesday. The girls (from left to right) Jess, Jen, and Kat, have all been on the show at one time or another. Jess does the Gaming News segment everyday and Jen and Cat stop by to hang out and chat every so often on the show. Now how the hell did (the n00b to the show) a big tech nerd like me get to hang out with not one but THREE gorgeous gaming chics? Well, I live in St. Louis and they were in town for a conference so we just had to get together. It was an great time, and it was so great to be able to meet them in person and get to spend some time in (cold) St. Louis with the ladies. Girls if you read this, thanks so much for meeting up with me and I can't wait to get my ass out to L.A. so I can hang out with the whole crew at AGI.

PS. Hey Boys: I've posted a pic below sans me so you can have a shot of just the ladies, of course under the Bud logo... (Your welcome)
